Attentiveness and Professionalism



Heritage Behavioral Services, an Independent non-profit agency, advocates optimal services for all Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.  These services must focus on the psycho-social, environmental and biomedical needs.
In partnerships with the community providers our research- and evidence-based services include:


  • Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) Services:
Emphasis is on the psycho-behavioral, socio-environmental and bio-medical needs of the Individual with developmental disability.
  • Staff Training  
Training in basic positive behavioral supports that are intellectual and developmental disability-specific.  Supports that are least restrictive and proactive in crisis management. 
  • Case Management
Practical case management in developmental disabilities with focus on the bio-physical and   environmental needs following relevant clinical assessments.
  • Residential Services
High quality and safe residential services in partnership with State-approved residential service providers in the region; supervised by trained and professional staff.

Autism Prevalence On The Rise, CDC Says

As per the new government figures, more American children are being diagnosed with Autism. In a recent release from Center for Disease Control and Prevention, 1 in 59 children are on the spectrum. This is up from the last estimate of 1 in 68 reported in 2016 and 1 in 150 at the start of the century.  The increase in autism prevalence could be attributable to better identification among minority children.

Autism There is no cure for autism. So, products or treatments claiming to “cure” autism do not work as claimed; t he Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warned. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) describe children with autism as having difficulties with social interaction, displaying problems with verbal and nonverbal communication, exhibiting repetitive behaviors and having narrow, obsessive interests.   Learn more....
